Vinyl mockup generator

Your artwork as a record-and-sleeve mockup, exported as a 2000 px PNG — for press kits, stores, decks and merch pages. No PSD template, no Photoshop.

Vinyl record mockup from your artwork

Sometimes motion is the wrong answer: a press kit, a Bandcamp header, a store listing or a pitch deck needs one still, convincing image of the record as a physical object. This generates it from your cover art — sleeve, pressing, inner sleeve, shadow and light — and exports a 2000 px PNG.

No PSD template to buy, no smart object to replace, no Photoshop at all. Change the artwork, the angle or the background and re-export in seconds.

How to generate a vinyl mockup

  1. Upload the cover. 2400×2400 px or larger, since the PNG exports at 2000 px on the long edge.
  2. Choose the composition. Cover with the record protruding, the inner-sleeve version (with a third image on the paper sleeve), full-face artwork, or label only.
  3. Set the disc angle. A mockup is a still, so you pick the exact rotation (0–359°) — useful for placing label text where you want it.
  4. Dress the scene. Background color, hex code, mesh gradient or photo; floor or drop shadow; plastic shrink-wrap for the sealed-record look.
  5. Export PNG. One click, and the file is saved to your Downloads automatically.

Better than a PSD mockup template

No Photoshop needed

Nothing to install, no smart objects, no layer groups. Upload art, get a mockup.

Any angle, any pressing

Rotate the disc freely, and choose matte, glossy, colored wax or marble — a flat PSD gives you one fixed look.

Re-export in seconds

Client changed the cover? Swap the image and re-render, instead of relinking a template.

Where a still mockup beats a video

Use a mockup for Bandcamp and store pages, press kits and EPKs, pitch decks, merch listings, printed one-sheets — anywhere an image is expected instead of a player. When the same release needs motion for socials, the spinning vinyl video maker exports it with your track, the GIF maker covers chat platforms for free, and the Canvas maker handles Spotify.

Free to design and preview. Build the mockup, try every layout, finish and background with no account. Exporting the watermark-free PNG requires a plan (from €4.99/mo) and is included in both Artist and Studio.

Frequently asked questions

What resolution is the mockup export?

2000 px on the long edge — sharp for web stores, socials, press kits and decks. It is a screen mockup, not a print-resolution template.

Is this a PSD mockup template?

No, and you do not need one. The mockup is generated live in your browser from your artwork — no Photoshop, no smart objects, no relinking. Change anything and re-export in seconds.

What does the disc rotation slider do?

A mockup is a still image, so instead of a spin speed you choose the exact angle of the record (0–359°) — handy for positioning label text or the sleeve opening.

Which layouts can I use?

All of them: cover with the record protruding, the inner-sleeve version with a third image on the paper sleeve, full-face artwork across the record, and label only. Plastic shrink-wrap is available in the cover layouts.

What image resolution should my cover be?

At least 2400×2400 px, since the export is 2000 px on the long edge. Use a high-quality sRGB JPG or PNG — heavily compressed files show artifacts when enlarged onto the sleeve.

PNG or JPG?

PNG, for clean edges and exact colors. Convert to JPG afterwards if you need a smaller file for a web page.

Can I put a different image on the label?

Yes — the optional disc image goes on the record label while the cover fills the sleeve, and the inner-sleeve layout adds a third image slot.

Is it free?

Designing and previewing are free with no account. Exporting the watermark-free PNG needs a plan — it is included in Artist (€4.99/mo) and Studio alike.

Can I use mockups commercially?

Yes — stores, ads, press kits, client work and merch pages. You must own or have licensed the artwork you upload.

Can I get a video of the same design?

Yes — the vinyl video maker renders the same composition as a spinning MP4 with your music, and the GIF maker exports it as a free looping GIF.
